What’s the cancellation policy?
We get it — life happens. If you’re unable to attend your in-person or virtual practice, we ask that you cancel your class at least two hours prior to the start time. We’re unable to credit classes back to you if you cancel within the two hours before start time.
What should I wear?
While we are not a “hot” yoga studio, you will sweat in class! We suggest you wear comfortable clothing you can easily move around in: nothing so tight that it restricts your movement, but nothing so loose that extra fabric gets in your way. Quick-drying or athletic clothes and gear are ideal, since there are no showers onsite.
What should I bring?
The yogi’s version of phone, keys, wallet is: mat, towel, water! If you forget or come on a whim, not to worry: we rent out hand-sized sweat towels and Lululemon mats. We also have a variety of high-quality mats and gear for purchase.
What’s proper etiquette for the studio?
One of the joys of practicing at HAUM is being in a community of fellow yogis who’ve got your back! The best ways to show love and respect to your yoga family are: arrive on time for class and stay for savasana. We also ask that you practice good hygiene and are free of any strong scents while in the space. Lastly, please do not interrupt the teacher during class. Any of our teachers would be happy to answer questions after practice!
What if I’m new to yoga?
If you’re new to yoga, welcome! We are here to support you. Our teachers are trained to offer modifications throughout the class, ensuring that all bodies in the room feel safe and supported. Our classes are open to all levels, with the only exception being our ‘Vinyasa Level 2/3’. Check out our Class Types to learn more!
While you’re certainly welcome to take any class you like, our quarterly Foundations Class is specially designed for yoga novices. Discover the unique benefits of each class type, learn essential yoga poses used across various formats, and get answers to the questions you’ve always wanted to ask: Are the expensive yoga mats really worth it? What’s an “eight-limbed path”? Register for our Foundations class and find out!
