What is something that would surprise me about you?
I have a Yoga E-Book called BLOCKASANAS for both students and teachers on some of the many ways you can use yoga blocks, and was recently featured on the cover of Yoga Journal (writing about blocks) – Jack Workman wrote for the same issue!.
What can I expect from your class?
I believe in practicing what feels good in your body and recognizing that there isn’t one right way to do things that works for everyone. I strive to create an inclusive environment in my classes and with clients, so that everyone knows, YES yoga is for you too. In group classes I focus heavily on foundation and alignment to safely prepare you for more challenging postures later on. I encourage you to turn inwards, draw intentionality into your practice and, with kind attention, recognize your strength both physically and mentally in each moment.
What is the most essential part of practice for you?
Let it be healing, whatever that means for you. Active listening extends inwards as much as it extends outwards. Embrace whatever discoveries you make about yourself, and surrender to the joy that comes with finding peace within them.
