What is something that would surprise me about you?
I grew up in small town Kansas.

What can I expect from your class?
An emphasis on establishing a steady foundation, and a slow build from there; creative sequencing; rich descriptions (but also space for silence).

What is the most essential part of practice for you?
Devotion and steadiness.

I first stepped onto a yoga mat in 2001, and from the beginning felt the capacity for this practice to challenge my assumptions, call upon and cultivate deep strength, and create space for growth. I completed my initial 500 hour training in 2007 with an exceptional group of teachers in Arizona. Since then, I have studied and practiced extensively with Janet Stone, whose devotion to practice has sustained me and inspired me. My classes explore the practice as a laboratory for understanding ourselves more fully while creating space, steadiness & strength, and curiosity.
