MARY
HAYANO
She/Her
Vinyasa
I no longer own pants that zip up
What can I expect from your class?
Encouragement.
What is the most essential part of practice for you?
To have fun.
Mary has been a San Francisco based yoga teacher since 2007. Her upbeat classes are a means for practicing kindness, patience and forgiveness while building strength, endurance and mobility. Becoming comfortable with a support system of props and pose variations as well as feeling empowered to say “no, thank you” are highlighted in Mary’s strong, alignment-focused flow classes. “Be your best cheerleader!” is a typical Mary-ism.
Mary received her certification in the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and the It’s Yoga Rocket through Larry Schultz at It’s Yoga. She also completed the Sadhana Yoga Chi training with Doug Swenson. More recently, Mary became certified in the YogaWorks Method and Yoga Therapeutics.
