What is something that would surprise me about you?
My classes give you the opportunity to gain expertise in the architecture of your body, breath, and asana to get what you need from YOUR YOGA, gaining ease-filled strength for your athletics, jobs, and everyday life. We use techniques from functional movement science to unlock the powers of classical yoga, strategically opening up tight spots and strengthening weak areas caused by one-sided workouts and tech-posture. Try movement inside and outside the asana box, finding and harnessing your muscles & joints for freedom; expect satisfying, fun work leading to ‘aha’ moments. Add a big dose of humor, lovingkindness, inwardness, transfers to life off the mat, and you know what to expect!

What can I expect from your class?
Re-discovering the freedom we were born with, in body, mind, and spirit.

Suzanne has been teaching Yoga classes, Teacher Trainings, and Retreats in the Bay Area, Stockholm, Berlin, and in her hometown of Munich (Germany) since 2012. She is known for her empowering combo of movement art & science, conditioning, and accessible Iyengar-based alignment instruction.

Her passion for teaching yoga comes from firsthand experience: Yoga can totally restore your life, and give you (back) your innate freedom. Suzanne’s yoga journey began years ago as a stressed-out new mom and art curator in a German Ashtanga studio. There, she found the gracefulness she was missing from her years of dancing ballet; yet what intrigued her most was the peace she experienced in the practice. In California, Suzanne encountered Anusara yoga, whose alignment-based and heart-centered method helped her overcome serious chronic pain and reframe her approach to life’s ups and downs. Suzanne later earned the Anusara Teacher certification under the new, teacher-led school.

In 2017 Suzanne completed her Advanced Teacher Training with Noah Mazé in Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga, History, and Philosophy during a year-long course of study in Berlin, with an emphasis in Physiotherapy and Anatomy.
Suzanne’s first priority is to help her students explore tools to release tension, grow strong to the core, and become well-aligned in body, mind, and spirit. When she is not on the mat, Suzanne loves cooking Ottolenghi recipes, spending time in art and nature with her partner, her two daughters, and hanging out with the King of Fluff, Louie the Goldendoodle.
